Refund Policy

The promise

We're confident you'll love Choroboros. If you don't, we'll give your money back. That's it.

You have 30 days from purchase to request a refund for any reason. No tricks, no hoops, no lengthy explanations required.

The 14-day no-questions-asked window

Within the first 14 days after purchase, you can request a refund without providing any explanation. Email support@kaizendsp.com with your purchase email and order ID. We'll process it.

After 14 days but within 30 days, you can still get a refund, but we'll ask what the issue is. If it's a legitimate technical problem or compatibility issue, we'll honour it.

What qualifies for a refund

We'll refund your purchase if any of these apply:

  • Genuine technical issues — the plugin won't load, crashes your DAW, or fails to work correctly even after troubleshooting.
  • Doesn't work in your DAW — you've confirmed format compatibility, rescanned plugins, restarted your DAW, and it still won't load.
  • Audio problems — the audio output is broken, distorted beyond the intended effect, or produces silence even when configured correctly.
  • Licensing failure — your license key doesn't activate or work after we've tried to resolve it.
  • Buyer's remorse within 14 days — no questions asked.

What doesn't qualify

  • Refund requests made more than 30 days after purchase, even if the plugin was unused.
  • Features that were never advertised in the product description.
  • Wanting features that don't exist yet — feature requests are welcome but aren't grounds for a refund.

How to request a refund

  1. Email support@kaizendsp.com with subject [REFUND REQUEST].
  2. Describe the issue. Examples: "Won't load in Reaper on macOS" or "Crashes Logic every time I load a preset."
  3. We'll help first. Most issues can be resolved within 24 hours.
  4. If we can't fix the issue, we'll process your refund immediately.
  5. Funds return to your original payment method within 5 business days, processed by Paddle.

Paddle is the merchant of record

Refunds are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd in their capacity as Merchant of Record. Paddle's consumer terms also apply and are available at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.

Why we're this generous

We built Choroboros to be reliable, musical, and clear about what it supports. The first release is macOS. Windows, Linux, and Pro Tools support will follow in later releases. Audio gear is personal. Your setup is unique. Sometimes things just don't click.

We'd rather give you your money back and learn what went wrong than make you fight over an audio plugin that does not fit your work.
